I have plenty to be thankful for...

One of my favorite holiday movies is Holiday Inn starring Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire. In the Thanksgiving scene, Crosby closes the Inn for the holiday and is home alone with a broken heart. Pouting, he plays a record. The song title is "I have plenty to be thankful for..." While the song is playing, he banters back with negative comments in response to each thankful lyric that is sung. 2020 has been a year where it is hard to find something to be thankful for.
We all could have, or have fallen into the "woe is me" attitude, but I am truly thankful for a lot this year. Even when it was extremely hard to find the inspiration to draw something, or when there seemed to be no positive energy to tap into, I still managed to complete my daily drawing. In the end, I am very thankful for the distraction that the drawings have provided me. For a brief moment each day, it brought some sort of normalcy. I guess that is why some of my drawings are of cartoons I remember as a kid. That was a simpler, less complicated time. The others were pure mind wandering with a pen.
At this point in the year, all we can do now is try to make it to the end in one piece. Pray and hope for a better future and New Year that is soon to come. Hold on, the end of 2020 is near.
